It's time for another High Hopes Blog Challenge. This week's challenge is brought to us by the talented Janette. Her challenge...Hearts!! Designer Paper, punches, whatever!
For my card, I decided to go to the extreme! I actually started this card weeks ago with the intention to give it to my sister for her anniversary. But, I only got the images embossed and 2 colored by the time I should have been mailing it! So, I gave her a different card instead. So I decided to go with the design I had in mind for this challenge...
Oh, this also falls under the Cute Card Thursday Challenge #44...to create a scene.
You can click on the pictures for a larger view.
For the card front, I created a scene using 5 different stamps: Sitting Princess, Frog Prince, Rock Wall, Tree Element, and Matchmaking Maynard. Everything was colored with Twinkling H2Os. I embossed the rock wall first. Then I masked the rock wall and embossed the tree. Maynard, the Princess, and the Frog were embossed and watercolored then cut out and attached with dimensionals. I created the sky by sponging Baja Breeze randomly. I attempted Jeanne's technique, but I have NO clue how she gets it so perfect!! Here's a card she made for the December POTM last month. Can you say "OMG"?!
The sentiment was created on the computer then cut out with Nestability dies. I have this sentiment in a SU set, but it didn't fit the space I wanted so I did it on the computer instead.
The Border or "Picture Frame" was created with Close to Cocoa CS and the SU Weathered Background stamp in Chocolate Chip ink.
There's a little surprise on the inside. Do you see the story about to unfold?...
Poof...the Frog Prince turns into Prince Charming the Fearless Knight! But this card holds even more surprise in real life...
It's a pop-up card!! Here's another view...
The sentiment on the front says:
"Once in a while, Right in the middle of an Ordinary Life..."
On the inside is says:
"Love gives us a fairytale."
So, have your kissed enough frogs to find YOUR prince? Haha! No comment from me!
Ok, if you are still with me after that long post...
Why don't you play along with the challenge, too! Don't worry, you don't have to create a scene or a pop-up card...just some hearts and High Hopes Stamps if you have them. If you link your card to the High Hopes Blog Challenge post, you will be entered in a drawing for some free stamps! And if you upload your card to SCS, please use keyword HHC15.
On a sad note, this is my last week as a High Hopes Guest Diva :-( My time was supposed to be up at the end of December but Tina and the gang extended me to the end of this month. But, it is time to give up my crown...boo hooo! I have had sooo much fun and I only hope that one day I can join the team again! The Divas are amazing crafters, but more importantly, they are amazing women!
Edited to add: Kimmie just asked me if I wanted to participate with next week's challenge...yeah!!! So I will be here officially for one more challenge. Thank you, Kimmie!
Of course, I will still be posting a TON a of High Hopes cards since they are my passion! Not to mention, I have the insider information for the next few challenges *wink* so make sure to check back for the Sunday challenges!! :-)
Ok, enough... Thanks for stopping by!
