Wags 'n Whiskers Challenge 57: Summertime

Hello stamping friends!! 

I'm sorry this post is late. Last night was my anniversary and I also had friends over for a group vacation planning meeting until 11pm. Then this morning we woke up and went to straight to the beach with 3 other families. I just got home, took a shower, then remember that I didn't finish my post!!

Anyway, it's time for another Wags 'n Whiskers Challenge.

Let's see some fun summery, sunny, water-related, sweaty fun!!

You don't have to use a Wags 'n Whiskers image for the challenge, but if you do, you will be entered into a 2nd drawing for a free WnW digital stamp.

Instead of a card, I created a scrapbook layout from pictures of WnW co-owner Nikki's visit to our house last week...

The layout is a variation of Scrapbook Challenges #258

I created a pull-out journal tag that hides behind the picture of me and Nikki... 

The right side...

The papers are some old SU I found in my stash. The water swirls is a sizzix die. "Fun" was created with Thickers. "in the" was diecut from my silhouette machine. And "Sun" was diecut from a Sizzix alphabet die.

I used WnW Chillin' Out for my image...

the image is embossed in black, watercolored with twinkling H2Os, paperpieced umbrella, cut out and attached with dimensionals.

Stamp and Create, Magical Monday & High Hopes Challenges

I have lots of challenges and pictures to share today. Half of this post is late and should have posted yesterday.

It was a very busy weekend for my family and I didn't get the chance to finish my Magical Monday/Stamp and Create card or put the Stamp and Create Product Spotlight images on sale over the weekend. Then on Sunday, Ryan fell off a rope swing at a friend's house and went flying into a fence. By the evening his arm was swollen and black and blue under his elbow. We put ice on it and kept an eye on it, but Monday morning it was still swollen so we took him to the doctor. Luckily it is only a bad bruise - no fractures. 

Then after bringing Ryan to school after his doctor's appointment yesterday, my husband came home feverish and achy. He locked himself in our guest room and slept most of the day. This morning he went to the doctor and he has a bad case of Strep Throat!! I REALLY hope that doesn't go around the house!!

Anyway, between all of that, I got a bit behind. 

So today I have 2 cards to share for a few challenges.

I used the very Royal Sitting Princess by High Hopes and the Very Magical Unicorn also by High Hopes.

I used one of the new  Her Majesty Resin Embellishments by Melissa Francis, Lilac Avenue DP by Kaisercraft, Prima Lilyput Roses, Mini Roses (Light Green), CC Cutters Banner Die (also available at All That Scraps), Once Upon a Time Sentiment (High Hopes), and pearls.

My next card is for the High Hopes Challenge: Anything High Hopes Goes!

You can use any High Hopes image for this challenge.

Ryan had a "Camp-Out" themed sleep-over birthday party on Saturday night so I created this card for the birthday boy... 

This is Smore Dragon by High Hopes along with Blazin' Birthday sentiment.

The papers are Campfire by October Afternoon (perfect for this image) and the sketch is from Sketch Saturday.

Now since it was a "boys only" party, Ansley was feeling left out. So we decided to create our own little "tent" over the game room TV and have a little Camp-out movie night!! So here are some pictures of our little "girls only" campout (Which is also a little peek at our upstairs game room/loft)... 

My husband taped a sheet from the top of the old entertainment center to the backs of some high-back chairs. Please excuse the surrounding mess - this is one of those rooms that hasn't been organized after the move. The door that's closed in the back left is my stamping room. The open door is Ansley's Bathroom. I'm standing in front of Ansley's Bedroom door and the hallway to Ryan's and my room. 

And here is Ansley under the "tent" with Princess and a spot just for Mommy... 

 
We ate popcorn, left over Easter chocolate, and watched "The Sword in the Stone" Disney movie. It was a fun night!

So who watched the Royal Wedding on TV? Anyone actually go there in person?

It's a busy day for me. I'm planning on waking up early to watch the wedding, get the kids to the bus stop, watch more of the wedding (hehe), then I am meeting up with Ansley's class at the movies for a fiend trip - they're going to see Disney's African Cats.

Magical Monday Challenge & Kenny K Product Spotlight

Hello stamping friends!! 

I hope you are having a love long weekend for my US and Canadian friends!! The weather was soooo beautiful here in Sunny South Florida! My husband was out of town working (boo), so the kids and I took advantage of the weather and headed for the beach. But bad mommy here totally forgot to put on Sunblock so all 3 of us are now sunburned!! Ouch!! Ryan has it the worst, though! Ansley's long hair blocked most of her back. And I got splotches of sun on my legs and arms because I was under the umbrella most of the time so only some areas that stuck out got burned. Poor Ryan's whole back and shoulders are so red :-( 

Here's a poor picture I took with my phone when we first got there. It cleared up a bit shortly after we arrived. But there were man-o-war on the beach and jelly fish in the water so we mostly stayed on the beach....

Ok, so I have a double post for you today.

ABC Christmas Challenge D: Digital & Double

Before I get to my card today, I want to ask you to keep Luke in your prayers this week. I received a text yesterday saying that they were at the neurologist and that they were being re-admitted back into the hospital. Then received a later text that they will not be able to celebrate Luke's birthday today because he will be in testing all day under anesthesia. :-( So please keep Luke in your prayers on his 6th birthday today. Ryan's Valentine for his teacher - WnW Sketch

Hello stamping friends. I hope you are having a lovely weekend so far. 

Well, it is 4 weeks and counting until our move back to Orange Park, FL (just outside Jacksonville). We had the inspection on our South Florida home yesterday and I got to meet the buyers. They sound like a great family so I hope I am leaving my friends with a wonderful new neighbor.

Over the next 4 weekends, we have some travel and some "fun" planned (in between 3 more soccer weekends). I have started packing my store stamps into small boxes. Since we live in Florida, it's hot...too hot to allow rubber stamps to sit on a moving truck for a few days. Therefore, when I move, I will be taking my store (and personal) stamp supplies with me. I will pack up my stamps and the kids and head out on the first day. Scott will stay behind with the movers to make sure everything is packed up. Then he will follow them up to the new house. Therefore, I have started putting my store stamps into small boxes so I can still access them until the move, but when the time comes, I close up the boxes and pack them in my van. The boxes will be small enough that I can unload the van myself. 

So it's starting to get exciting that we are moving "home"!!

But before we go, we still have lots to do and the kids still have school. Since Monday is Valentine's Day, I needed to make a Valentine's Day for Ryan's teacher.

I decided to use Wags 'n Whiskers Just for You (designed after Ryan) and use the sketch for the current Wags 'n Whiskers Challenge... 

 

I pulled out some retired October Afternoon DP and the Ruler stamp from a SU "Elementary Essentials" that I've had for years. I thought they made the perfect card for a teacher. And since it's from a boy, it's not too "love" looking!!

Well, I have to run. Time to head to the soccer field for Ansley's soccer game. It's wet and chilly today so hopefully it's not too miserable at the soccer field.

I'm late again posting! I was up until midnight last night working (and watching the Super Bowl then Glee) so I slept in this morning - apparently hubby turned off my alarm and took the kids to the bus stop (aw, so sweet of him - especially after I woke him up at midnight by bumping into the door in the dark bedroom - Ouch! LOL)!!

Super Luke!! Wags 'n Whiskers Challenge: a sketch by me

I forgot to finish this post last night, so it's late going up. 

First off, we bought a house in Jacksonville (actually it's Orange Park, but most people know where jacksonville is and we just South/West of the Jacksonville line. We're very excited. We will be moving during our Spring Break (March 13th). I'm looking forward to a new chapter in our Story of Life and can't wait to see what God has in store for us in our new neighborhood. 

We tried to move back to our old neighborhood, but nothing worked out. So we are down the street in a different community. For whatever reason, we were not meant to move back to our old community, so I guess God has a plan for us across the street!!

I am so much more relived at knowing where we will be living. However, I still need to decide which school we will be attending. 

Ok...

Now it's time for a new Wags 'n Whiskers Challenge. 

This week's challenge is a sketch by me!!

I decided to make a card for Luke's birthday...

All of his friends and doctors are calling him their "Superman", so I thought Super Ryan would be appropriate. This stamp was designed after my son Ryan and Ryan and Luke best friends when we lived there, so I hope this brings him a huge smile!

I used some Basic Grey Oliver DP (probably my favorite paper), and used some of the stickers that are included in the 12x12 pack.

I have to run now. We have a double birthday party this afternoon so I still need to make one card and purchase their presents all in the next 2 hours!! It's been a rough week - I'm so behind :-(

High Hopes Challenge 97 - A card for a Man

Hello stamping friends!!

Today is my follow up appointment from surgery. Hopefully everything came back totally clear and hopefully everything is healing well. I hate to say that I am still dealing with nausea issues!! It's been a whole week now...enough already!  Anyway, hopefully I will be cleared for driving! I have to have my friend drive me to my appointment today! But the good news is that I get to tag along with her and go out to lunch afterward! It will be nice to get out of the house!! Man am I getting cabin-fever!!

At least I've gotten a lot of coloring done in the past day! Yesterday I colored 4 images (3 for the upcoming High Hopes release!!).

Winter Fairy (Magical Monday and Stamp and Create Product Spotlight)

Hello stamping friends!!

Well, It has been some week! I am 1 day shy of 1 week from my hysterectomy. I'm still doing well...slowly but surely healing. I have some cramping still and I don't have much energy. But I have to remember that I just had surgery and to take it easy. 

I am still on a lifting restriction, so orders are taking longer to ship out than normal. Please be patient with me over the next week or so. I pride myself on getting orders shipped out fast, but this week is going to have to take it one day at a time. All orders that arrived before Friday morning have shipped out already. So only the weekend orders haven't shipped yet. I am hoping those will ship out tomorrow.

I was able to get into the craft room this weekend for a short time. I'm not 100% happy with the cards I made, but hey...I just had surgery so I'm not being too picky!! LOL

Wags 'n Whiskers Challenge - Sisters and Friends

Welcome back stamping friends!! Once again I have a busy day. I have another doctor's appointment this afternoon. I know a few of you have been "worried" because I've mentioned a lot of appointments lately. So I wanted to quickly address them.

I've been having some 'women issues' so I am have having tests run. Blood work, pap smear, Mammogram and MRI & Sonogram. I don't want to go into major details over the web, but I've had abnormal cycles since Ryan was born and lots of pain recently from ovarian cysts. I'm tired of dealing with it, so I'm getting everything checked out. The pap smear and mammogram are just routine. My appointment today is to discuss the results of the tests. I'm not expecting anything major since I've had sonograms done almost every year on my ovaries so hopefully nothing major snuck in there. However, I wouldn't be surprised if he recommends a hysterectomy. 

I will post something over the weekend if there is any major news. I just wanted to let you know what has been going on - which is also why some emails have been a little later in responding. I am up to date with all store deliveries. Only backed up with paperwork (which is never new)! Being a "one women show" with the store, the paperwork usually gets done only when it HAS to get done!! 

I have some new Wild Rose Studio Stamps and ribbon that arrived in the past two days that I hope to add to the store this weekend. Plus I am afraid that I received a Popcorn the Bear order a few weeks ago that never made it on the website!! (Yikes)! So I do need to get caught up on a few things. Unfortunately allergy testing for the kids, doctor's appointments for the kids, and 4 separate doctor appointments for me added to the school Halloween parties and pumpkin patch pictures, etc...I got a little behind in the past two weeks.

Anyway, I am hoping for the best, but preparing for the worst so any prayers you want to send my way are greatly appreciated!!

High Hopes Challenge - Birthday

Hello stamping friends!!

Well I hate to say that there is a chance I have caught a little cold. Hopefully it's a little cold!! I started to feel a little ucky sunday morning...but blamed it on all of the "food and wine" at the Epcot's Food and Wine festival. But today I felt achy and feel a little sore throat and tightness in my chest. Bummer! Hopefully this is a 24-hour bug because I have a busy week this week!!

The kids have Halloween parties at school (which means I'll be fixing Ryan's Halloween costume today since it's too big) and they have early dismissal on Thursday and no school on friday. I have a few doctor's appointments. But I am hoping to take the kids to a pumpkin patch on friday to get our annual pumpkin patch photos!!

The Polka dot DP is from Cosmo Cricket Mitten Weather. The Vellum was embossed with a Tim Holtz texture folder so it's nice and 3-D (which I am noticing appears to be blurry in the photo, but it's the dimension you can see.

The sentiment is Signature Christmas from PTI. I also used some Light blue Silk Ribbon and Kaisercraft pearls.

Wags 'n Whiskers Challenge - Halloween

Hello stamping friends! 

Well, I woke up yesterday with a kink in my neck! It was quite annoying, but by dinner time, I was in a lot of pain if I did anything but sit still!! So, as I am typing this post, I am fine as long as I don't move my head! Sad!

That's not a good thing considering I have to get my sales taxes done and in the mail on monday!! Which means I'll be working all weekend.

Scrap and Stamp Saturday - Sketch: Butterfly World

So did you have fun on the Wags 'n Whiskers blog hop yesterday? It's still open if you missed it!! 

Today it's time for another Scrap and Stamp Saturday Challenge. 

The challenge this week is a sketch...

I'll be honest, I was REALLY intimidated by this sketch at first. But then I figured out a great way to showcase a lot of photos and turned it into a double layout.

Here's my layout...

The left side sticks to the sketch pretty well except I moved the title section up. The right side is a flip of the sketch.

The papers are an older My Mind's Eye (MME). The stamp I used is one of the new Wags 'n Whiskers Fairies named "Laila".

Tip:

To get the pictures on the bottom layer, I attached 3 pictures side-by-side onto scrap cardstock. Then I hand drew the wave and cut it out with my scissors. I turned that layer over and drew it the wave onto the green layer then cut that out. So the green layer is an exact opposite of the photo layer.

Wags 'n Whiskers Early Sneak Peek for Stamp and Create and Magical monday Challenges

I have an exciting card to show today!! It's for a few challenges, so lets just get straight to it since I have a busy week ahead of me!!

It's time for a new Stamp and Create Monthly challenge. In honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, our challenge is: Pink for Breast Cancer or a card of encouragement!

So you can either use Pink on your card, or just make a "thinking of you" type of card.

My neighbor is battling Breast Cancer...and she seems to be winning (which is a great thing). But it is still a LONG road. So far she had chemo with a trial drug, a double mastectomy, and Wednesday is her last day of radiation. Since she tested positive for the BRAC gene, she is having a full hysterectomy in November (to prevent Ovarian Cancer), followed by reconstructive surgery. She is so exhausted, but she's only half way done with two more surgeries to go!

Scrap and Stamp Saturday - "Open" Challenge!

Hello stamping friends! I hope you have a wonderful weekend planned. 

We have a busy weekend with errands, a birthday party, and tutoring. I am going to have to make a trip to the post office as well to finish shipping out my orders. And, of course, there is the normal weekend chores. 

Also, Wags 'n Whiskers is having a release next friday with the sneak peeks officially starting on Wednesday, but I will have an early peek on Monday - so I have a lot of stamping to do to get ready for the release.

Here is my layout...

I used one of the new Greeting Farm Miss Anya Lounge stamps that were released yesterday. Ansley LOVES the Miss Anya collections so I had to break one out for this special layout!!

When Ansley lost her front teeth, she lost them one at a time over a 5 month period. So the other 3 teeth started to come in before she lost the last one. So this was the only time I could get the true "toothless grin".

The sketch is from Scrapbook Challenges Sketch 219 which I added a 3rd photo.

The paper is MME Bloom and Grow. I stamped on the top right and bottom left corners with "On the Edge" stamp Stampology, then added a Prima swirl.

Scrap and Stamp Saturday Challenge: Embossing

Hello stamping friends!!

Well I think the black cloud that was hanging over my head the past week is finally going away! After my PC broke, my store website went down twice, my wireless went down for a short time, and my car broke, I've had two good days with no major issues! I think I'm on the mend!! LOL 

But I am looking forward to the weekend!! By the time this posts, I am hoping to still be asleep in my comfy bed having wonderful dreams!! *Sigh* I love to sleep in!! And since my husband was out of town for 3 days and is now home...I have earned the right to sleep in this week! That makes it even better!!

So, now it's time for another Scrap and Stamp Saturday Challenge!! I am really impressed that I made 3 layouts this week! I am really starting to get faster with scrapping and it is so much fun going through the kids old photos!! 

This week's challenge is: Embossing!!

That can be heat or dry embossing. 

DT Paola created an awesome tutorial on creating custom dry embossed embellishments to add to a layout (or card for that matter). So make sure to check it out on the challenge blog!

They offered to send us a digi to use on our layout. I had a hard time choosing since they have so many sassy and fun stamps! But, considering I mainly scrap my kids, I needed to choose one of the more conservative digis (if you know what I mean)! But that wasn't a problem...they have an adorable line of Princesses, too! And I found one perfect for a layout...

Now, I would normally have used "heat embossing" for my choice in embossing, but since I used a digital stamp and not a rubber stamp, I had to add a dry embossed element to stay with the embossing theme. 

This stamp is called Little Honey's - Princess Aurora Honey 

These pictures are from our first time having a Character Meal with the Disney Princesses at Walt Disney World. These pictures were taken in 2005 when Ryan was about 6 months and Ansley was 2 1/2 years old. Oh so she was excited to meet the Princesses! And Sleeping Beauty was her favorite one for a long time. 

Of course, living only 3 hours away from Disney World, we have gone to Disney often since then and have had Character meals almost every time. Although, I think we may be growing out of that phase.

Magical Monday Under Water Challenge and Stamp and Create SWALK Product Spotlight

Hello stamping friends!! So how was your weekend?! Ours was relaxing. We didn't do anything major. Just ran the kids around to some errands, watched some football, and caught up on "stuff". I did get some crafting in, too. But unfortunately not all of it!! 

Today is Monday so that means it's time for another Stamp and Create Product Spotlight. This week's spotlight is the new SWALK stamps by Crafters Companion. They are just so adorable!!

Now I started a card using Time out by SWALK, but when I was done coloring the image, I REALLY wanted to use the image on a scrapbook layout instead of a card. I mean, I really have way too many cards than I'll ever use anyway!! But I still have a massive amount of pictures that need to be scrapped. And that image is just calling out for a scrapbook layout!! So...I didn't get the layout done but I promise I will have it posted later in the week.

I also used some Kaisercraft Pack your Bags DP, White Silk Ribbon with the Bow Easy, and new Prima Swirls (this is only part of the swirl).

Scrap and Stamp Saturday Challenge: Numbers

Hello stamping friends!! I hope you are having a lovely weekend so far! I sure am ready for the weekend to begin!!

As if loosing my PC on Wednesday and my website's server for the store went down on Thursday for 4 hours, friday night the internet connection went down for the laptops as well!! After 30 minutes on tech support, it was an easy fix - I'm just tired of so many different non-related computer issues 3 days in a row!!

And on top of that, my son came home on friday asking what my teacher said when she called to tell me that Ryan bit another boy at school!! Well the teacher didn't call, so I don't know if she will call later or if she thinks she handled it at school already! What I got from Ryan (who was very remorseful) was that a boy in his class is always bothering him and he kept touching Ryan today and tickling him. So Ryan bit his finger when he tried to touch Ryan again! Then is sounds like he went to the Principle's office!! Great! Again, I am only going by this from his side of the story since I haven't received a call or a note yet! 

Ryan says this boy is always getting into trouble so I can only hope that Ryan was pushed past a point of reason instead of just a malicious bite! But we have told Ryan that he will write a note to his teacher and the boy apologizing.

So do you see why I'm ready for this week to be over?! Ug!!

Therefore, let's move on!!

I used some Basic Grey Olivia 12x12 paper including some of the die cut stickers and embellishments, PTI Butterfly stamp set (some butterflies are cut out added buttons and added with dimentionals), some punches, "Ansley" personal stamp (I bought at a craft fair when she was just an infant - before I ever knew about the stamping and scrapbooking world!!), lace, Prima Swirls, and Thickers chipboard letters.

The stamped image is Apple Emma by CC Designs...

I did a lot more layers on this layout with the embellishments than I normally so, and I think it turned out ok. Sometimes I love the look, but can never achieve it on my own.

I just about had a heart attack last night while I was writing this post! When I went to link the products to the store, I noticed that my website was down!! Great! Just what I needed with the rest of my PC issues!! Anyway, after 30 mins, I was able to get in touch with my web server provider and found out it was a system-wide outage and the store was only down for 4 hours!!

This is Bear Hug. I actually started this card as a Christmas card since I used the new Cosmo Cricket Mitten Weather DP. But after I put it together, I realized it looks more like a birthday card so I ended up keeping it for this challenge instead! And I love how it turned out. This paper is gorgeous and I love thee soft blue with the different purples.

High Hopes new challenge day & Spots and Dots challenge

Welcome back stamping friends! I am sorry this is late. I sort of "crashed" yesterday and had no more energy left! So after filling the weekend orders and working on the website for 7 straight hours, I picked up my book and read for the rest of the day! I am proud to say that I read the whole "Breaking Dawn" book (the last of the Twilight Series by Stephanie Meyers) in 3 days!! Of course, I was up half the night for those 3 days because I couldn't put the book down!

So this morning I actually needed a nap after getting the kids to school.

Now on to the reason for the post...

High Hopes Challenges have now moved from Sundays to Tuesdays. Since High Hopes is a Christian company, Tina alwasy felt bad that the DT had to "work" on Sundays (especially our Head Diva Nikki since she has to deal with the posts). So a few of us voted and we decided that Tuesday would be the best day. This was great for me since I am usually one of the last ones to get my card in the folder!! And, of course, I am late on my first Tuesday HH post!! LOL

Oh, I just LOVE polka dots so this is a great one for me!!

Stamp and Create Product Spotlight: Birthdays

Hello stamping friends!! I hope you had a wonderful weekend!! We had a GREAT weekend! On Saturday we had Ansley's birthday party! She has so much fun with her girlfriends. It did rain so we didn't get to go in the pool, but that was ok because the girls just wanted to dance and sing along with the songs from the Camp Rock 2 movie!!

Then after the chaos of the party ended, I picked up the Breaking Dawn book by Stephanie Meyer (the forth book in the Twilight series). I stayed up until 2am reading! Wow, what a great book so far!! If you've read it, don't tell me anything about it, ok?!

Anyway, on Sunday I woke up tired, went to church then took Ansley to Toys R Us so she could spend her birthday money. Afterward, we had an AWESOME dinner at my favorite Mexican restaurant Ole Ole! YUM! Later we played a new horse board game she bought with her money. It was a great weekend.

But guess what? It isn't just Ansley's birthday this weekend - this week is the 1st Birthday of my store Stamp and Create!! I can not believe that I've had the store for a whole year! And to think, I started with ONLY High Hopes Rubber stamps!! Now I carry so many different stamp companies, paper, adhesive, embellishments, and even Silly Bandz!! It's been a wonderful year. 

So to celebrate Stamp and Create's first birthday, the Product Spotlight for this week is:

ABC Christmas Challenge DT - S is for Santa

Hello stamping friends!! Well it's time for another ABC Christmas Challenge. Gosh, I am just in love with doing Christmas cards right now. There are so many wonderful Christmas stamps available out in the stamping world! Many new ones and some old classics.

If it's new or old, there's one thing that's true...Santa rules this time of the year!! I love that I can now start reminding my kids that Santa's watching!! LOL

Wow, that "non-red" challenge really got a few of us on the DT!! Then I remembered, I had the PERFECT image for a non-red Santa!!...

This is Skiing Santa from High Hopes Rubber stamps. I have him on order with High Hopes, but since they are dealing with the new release from last week, I don't expect my order in for a few weeks. But if you are interested in this stamp, shoot me an email at [email protected] and I can put one aside for you and let you know when it arrives.

The sketch is from Sketch Saturday this week. I used a die-cut sticker from the Basic Grey Oliver 12x12 paper pack  for the decorative element and background paper. I also used some pearls, wrinkle ribbon, fairytale Primas and Mini Primas.

The image was embossed in black and watercolored with Twinkling H2Os...

I added stickles to his hat and water. Just check out those hairy legs!! LOL

Stamp and Create and Magical Monday Combo challenge!

Hello stamping friends!! Happy Memorial Day to all of my US friends! We are having a fun, but wet, long weekend. Lots of afternoon thunderstorms. It's still very hot and humid and I am ready for a little cooler weather! Although...living in South Florida, it will be January before it gets cool here!! LOL But this really is my favorite time of year. Ansley's birthday is on Friday and my little baby girl will be 8 years old!! We are having a few girls over for a "fashion diva" party. We will be making a craft (stamping related of course), dressing up, doing make up and nails, dancing and having a fashion show!! And if it's not raining, we will probably go in the pool as well. Should be fun. 

The kids are home from school today. Then they also have off on thursday, too. So it's going to be a hectic week with the kids in school for only 3 days this week.

Enough of that...it's time for a few challenges. I needed to combine them since I just didn't have time to do two separate cards.

Today is a new Stamp and Create Challenge. This month's challenge is: pearls or gems. 

Make sure it's a stamped card and has pearls or gems on it to be entered into the drawing for the gift certificate to Stamp and Create.

It's also time for another Magical Monday Challenge. This time the challenge is: Lace.

Make sure to use a "Magical Character" such as: Angels, Fairies, Mermaids, Dragons, etc...

The sketch is from SCS296 this week. I used some Basic Grey Olivia DP, Fairytale flowers, basic grey pearls, and lace.

The image was embossed in black onto watercolor paper and watercolored with Twinkling H2Os...

Scrap and Stamp Saturday Challenge - Multiple photos

 

I am so late with my layout today! Since monday is a holiday, I wanted to get as many orders to the post office as possible since there won't be any mail on monday. And I was packing orders all day yesterday as well so I didn't get to finish my blog post until now.

Ok...so it's time for another Scrap and Stamp Saturday Challenge. This week's challenge is: Use multiple photos!

Since I have a ton of photos to scrap, that wasn't a hard thing for me to do!

I have a digital stamp from Digi Doodle that I will use for a card later. I had already created my layout before it was offered. But their images would make a great layout, too! Unfortunately, I didn't have the time to use it for the post today.

I know I promised pictures of the first day of school. Since it took me so long to download the pictures, I figured I should just use them in a layout instead! Of course, I still need to show you Ansley's first day of school pictures, too.

 

The layout is from Creative Scrappers this week (sketch 119) for the right side. The left side is a mirror image of the layout.

I used SU Kraft CS for the base. I created the black lines with a pen (they are straight, just the photo of the layout is crooked). I used some Basic Grey Oliver DP, clips, buttons, and Tim Holtz Adage Ticket. The stamped images are from the new High Hopes release and the corner is one of the On the Edge stamps from Stampology.

My handsome boy!! He did such a great job on his first day of school. No tears (for either of us)! I think we prepared him enough and made such a big deal out of it. Plus he was "graduated" to Kindergarten during summer camp and at church as well before school started. So he was ready to be a Kindergartener! And since we prepared him so well, I think I was prepared as well!! LOL
