Another Just Rite Monogram set

Wow! This week has been a hectic one. I think I keep saying that! But, seriously, we have been so busy. I will write another post in a few minutes about my hectic weekend. But I wanted to share something creative today.

Real quick before I get that to that... my email has been on the fritz lately and I have spent way too much time with AT&T trying to get it fixed. I thought it was just slow to load, having to refresh constantly, and not being able to delete emails...but apparently I have lost a few emails as well. So, if you emailed me lately and I haven't responded...I probably didn't get the email! I looks like it was just fixed (*cross my finders*)!

I noticed that my Top Note Basket that I posted here was listed first on the Tutorials at Card of the Week.com this week. I've gotten triple the amount of daily hits to my blog each day and have gotten quite a few new subscribers! So I want to say a quick Hello *waving* at my new subscribers! I hope you find inspirataion!!

Anyway, on the card...This is something I made awhile ago. Nothing new today because I am actually not feeling well!

This is the other set of Just Rite Stamper monogrammed cards that I made for my friend (here and here are the other two sets)...

The card base is SU Chocolate Chip. The white layer is PTI Stampers Select White stamped with SU Polka Dot background stamp in Pink Pirouette ink. The chocolate layer was punched with my Fiscars Threading Water border punch and the ribbon is SU Pink Pirouette Stripped Ribbon. The monogram was done with the Just Rite Stamper kit. The scalloped circles were diecut with my scalloped circle Nestability.

To go along with this gift set, I made her a birthday card as well to give to her friend...

Simple layout. I love Bellas because they are so easy to color so they are perfect for quick cards.

Just Right Monogram..."W"

A friend of mine asked me to make a set of monogrammed cards for her friend. She needed it pretty quickly (along with 2 other sets), so I went with a quick design. And the JustRite monogram stamp is just perfect for this type of card.

Since her friend's birthday was yesterday, I think it's safe to share. Her friend's favorite colors are pink and green...

I used SU Gable Green for the card base. I stamped SU Polka Dot background stamped in Pink Pirouette onto white then I distressed the edges with my sissors. I added a strip of green that was punched with my Fiscars Threading Water border punch. I added some SU Pink Pirouette Stripped Ribbon. I stamped the the monogram in black and cut out the layers using my scalloped Nestabilities which is attached with dimensionals.

To hold the cards, I created a box using my tutorial...

I had to adjust my dimensions on the Large box since the ribbon added to 10 cards made it too fat to fit in a regular Large Box. So I increased the dimensions by 1" on two sides, and scored it 1/2" larger on all sides which added 1/2" total to the height of the box.

 Since this was a birthday gift for her friend, I created a birthday card for her to give with the set...

I pulled out my Emmabella stamp for a quick card. The Bellas are sooo easy to color so they make really great cards in a short amount of time. I followed the rest of the card to match the monogrammed cards.

I hope her friend likes it! I made another set, too...but I will save that until after that friend's birthday (just in case she visits this blog before then)!

Baby Scrapbook: The Ending

Here is the ending of the baby scrapbook that I made for my husband's coworker. If you are just "tuning in" to my blog, I created this book for someone who doesn't scrapbook and doesn't have any scrapbook supplies. Therefore, all of the layouts are simple...all she needs to do is add pictures. Here is a link to the rest of the book.

Since each month I created a two-page layout, at the back of the book, I ended with a single page left in the back. I saw a babybook with this idea before, so I wanted to incorporate the idea into this scrapbook.

I used some cute DP from the pack I was using for this book. Then I added two stripped pieces to create two pockets. On the computer, I printed "A Letter from Mommy" and "A Letter from Daddy" on the computer. The idea is for Mommy and Daddy to write their baby a letter...maybe while she is still in mommy's tummy, maybe right after she is born, maybe on her first birthday, or maybe multiple letters throughout her first year!! Wouldn't it be awesome to look through this book as a teenager or a young adult and read a letter of what you mom and dad were thinking about you when you were just a tiny baby?!

I will get to the cover of the book in a second. I wanted to first show you a card I made to go with the gift.

I used some DP that was used in the scrapbook. I created the monogram with the Just Rite Stamper. A cuttlebug folder, Fiscars Threading Water border punch and a Very Vanilla Ribbon.

To finish off the book, I added the baby's monogram on the picture window of the scrapbook. This is a store bought scrapbook, I did not decorate the front...but isn't it gorgeous?

I really enjoyed making this scrapbook (although it took me longer than I expected). But now that I have one full book under my belt, I think it would be much easier to create more. Maybe one of these days my brother will get married and have a baby and then I can make one for his baby!! The rest of my husband's family and my sister and I are done with having children, so the burden rests on my younger brother Paul!!!

I will create one more post that will put the book in order from begining to end for easier reference.

On a personal note, it looks like Tropical Storm Fay will remain a Tropical Storm...but it is headed straight for us tomorrow! Schools have closed for the day so I will have 2 young kids trapped in the house all day with nothing but major rain all day long!! Fun stuff!! But at least they will be home with me. I was concerned because our county didn't decided to close schools tomorrow until late this afternoon so I was really worried about driving her to and from school and what about possible tornatos? So, we will stick it out in the house. Hopefully the power won't go out...otherwise, we will be sitting in the car in the garage watching the portable DVD player (which only has a car power outlet)!!

If the storms are bad, my internet service may go down. So if you don't hear from me for awhile, it is probably just computer issues! In the mean time, please keep us Floridians in your prayers!

Secret Sister Gift

I have a million projects going at one time, but nothing finished..he he! So here is something I finished before my vacation for my Secret Sister. They had a "reveal" party where our Bunco group revealed who had each other. I was out of town but wanted to give my secret sister one last gift who would give away who I was.

I made her a set on Monogrammed cards (she loves Monogrammed ANYTHING)...

The card base is SU Pixie Pink. The white mat is Papertrey Stampers Select White run through a cuttlebug folder. The monogram is Just Rite Stamper cut out with Nestability Scalloped Circles and the ribbon I purchased at Michaels.

I also made her a set of single layer cards...

The card base was Papertrey Stampers Select White. I emboseed a Nesability Scalloped Rectangle first, then stamped the two-step flower from SU Heartfelt Thanks (so glad is is NOT retiring). That's it!! So simple. It honestly took me maybe 20 minutes for a full set.

I made a matching gift bag, but I forgot to take a picture of it before I gave it to her. But it was just a white gift bag that I stamped the flower bud from Hearthfelt Thanks randomly on the bag and added ribbon to the handle.

It was fun being her Secret Sister!

Look what I have!!!

It finally came!!

After making 90 of these cards here using my corner rounder punch for the the scalloped edge, I searched the internet and finally found one in stock at Amazon.com.

I don;t have much time to play today because I am packing to go to Disney tomorrow for a long weekend (and I'm baby sitting a friend's baby today...I am typing this with one hand)! But I had to use it!!

I found this card layout on the Just Rite Stampers's blog under "Just Rite Stampers Shared Ideas"and really liked the swirls in the background. I also saw this card and decided to combine the two designs into one card.

The baby let me put him down...

Here is what I came up with. The swirls are from Baroque Motifs and are embossed onto the card by stamping first onto versamark, then into Purely Pompegranate, then onto Whisper White using Clear Embossing Powder.

 The L is from SU Lovely Letters also embossed, punched out with 1 1/4" circle punch and matted onto Pom Scallop Punch (which is paper pierced using my mat pack). I used Pom Double Stitched Ribbon and the Threading Water scallop punch on the bottom. It only punches about 2 or 3 inches at a time, so I will have to work with it a little to align it better.

Just Rite Monogram

I found a link to Just Rite Stampers awhile back and had to have one of my own (of course). I haven't had much time to work with it, but it's real easy to use and I love it! Now I have to get some of the accessory kits :-)
