Hello stamping friends!!

I hope you all had a wonderful weekend! School is in full swing and Soccer and Baseball seasons are just gearing up. We will be busy and at one ball field or another most nights. Time to start getting organized! I have learned that spending an hour on Sunday getting the week's worth of school clothes ironed and hung up makes for a much easier morning (especially when my husband is gone traveling). Crock Pot meals help with getting dinner on the table at various times to fit around the ball schedules. Homework is our biggest challenge; the school year has only just begun so homework is light, but it will get worse!!

Today is have another card using this fun stamp...

This is Bauregard's Pencil from CC Designs. This time I used some Copics to color his hair (but the rest was colored with Twinkling H2Os). The papers are Boy Crazy from My Mind's Eye along with Bubble Number Die from CC Designs, Heart Banner Die from La La Land Crafts, Frantage, and Twine. 

The image was embossed in black... 

I hope Ryan's teacher likes it!

Back to School

This was supposed to have been posted on Monday, but it's already been a heck of a week and I wasn't about to post it earlier.

This is called CC Designs Bauregard's Pencil. Also from CC Designs is the fun "3" from CC Cutter Bubble Number Dies. The papers are Scoot from Echo Park along with Twine, Frantage, and La La Land Hearts Banner Die 

The image was embossed in black onto watercolor paper and watercolored with Twinkling H2Os...

Back to School

Hello stamping friends!!

As I mentioned, Tuesday was the first day of school. Boy is it bitter-sweet!! I LOVE spending time with my kids and traveling. But it's SOOOOO hard to run a business and stay on a routine with them at home. We had a wonderful summer; so many great vacations, camps, and activities. But now it's time to get back into the routine of school, homework, sports. Ansley is going to be playing Soccer again in the Fall while Ryan is starting Baseball (he was in T-Ball last season). Plus Ansley is going to be taking Horse Riding Lessons periodically (whenever her schedule allows).

This is the adorable Sprite Darby & Dazzle. What a perfect image for a birthday card! The papers are My Mind's Eye Life of the Party.  Other products I used are White Grosgrain Ribbon, Bow Easy, Pearls, Liquid Pearls, Butterfly Die and Teardrop Lace Die (both from CC Designs).

The image was embossed in black and watercolored with Twinkling H2Os then cut out and attached with dimensionals...

Happy Birthday, America & the Stamp and Create Challenge

Hello stamping friends!! Happy Birthday, America!!

I am still out of town at the Hammock Beach Resort in Palm Coast, FL with a group of friends. We are having a wonderful time - although a little sunburned!! We don't leave until tomorrow so I think today will include some putt-putt golf and some shaded pool time! 

Today is the new Stamp and Create Challenge. Since I'm still on vacation and my family is currently waiting for me to finish this so we can get on with the fun activities today, I will pick the winner of the last challenge when I get home on Wednesday. 

This month's challenge is: Ribbons and Bow

Make sure you have at least 1 ribbon or 1 bow on your card or project.

For my project, I decided to create a scrapbook layout of our 4th of July trip to Hammock Beach last year...

I used Liberty from CC Designs for the image. For the ribbons and bows challenge, I used some White Silk Ribbon for a "flag-pole" as well as some white ric rac ribbon on the banner and the bottom. The title and banner were created on my Silhouette machine. The papers were in my stash from a LONG time ago. I added a few pearls to the image as well.

I'm back today with a cutie card! I need a birthday card for a cute little neighbor of mine so I thought I would combine the Magical Monday Challenge with the new Stamp and Create Product Spotlight of the week.

I used the sweet new Swiss Pixie Violet with Key from CC Designs. Isn't she adorable?

I used Basic Grey Olivia DP for the papers. 

I created a double bow using the Bow Easy and Wrinkled Ribbon using Sharon's tutorial here...

I added some stickles to her bow, wings, and on the key's bow...

Scrap and Stamp Saturday Challenge: Numbers

Hello stamping friends!! I hope you are having a lovely weekend so far! I sure am ready for the weekend to begin!!

As if loosing my PC on Wednesday and my website's server for the store went down on Thursday for 4 hours, friday night the internet connection went down for the laptops as well!! After 30 minutes on tech support, it was an easy fix - I'm just tired of so many different non-related computer issues 3 days in a row!!

And on top of that, my son came home on friday asking what my teacher said when she called to tell me that Ryan bit another boy at school!! Well the teacher didn't call, so I don't know if she will call later or if she thinks she handled it at school already! What I got from Ryan (who was very remorseful) was that a boy in his class is always bothering him and he kept touching Ryan today and tickling him. So Ryan bit his finger when he tried to touch Ryan again! Then is sounds like he went to the Principle's office!! Great! Again, I am only going by this from his side of the story since I haven't received a call or a note yet! 

Ryan says this boy is always getting into trouble so I can only hope that Ryan was pushed past a point of reason instead of just a malicious bite! But we have told Ryan that he will write a note to his teacher and the boy apologizing.

So do you see why I'm ready for this week to be over?! Ug!!

Therefore, let's move on!!

I used some Basic Grey Olivia 12x12 paper including some of the die cut stickers and embellishments, PTI Butterfly stamp set (some butterflies are cut out added buttons and added with dimentionals), some punches, "Ansley" personal stamp (I bought at a craft fair when she was just an infant - before I ever knew about the stamping and scrapbooking world!!), lace, Prima Swirls, and Thickers chipboard letters.

The stamped image is Apple Emma by CC Designs...

 
The image is embossed in black and watercolored with Twinkling H2Os.

I did a lot more layers on this layout with the embellishments than I normally so, and I think it turned out ok. Sometimes I love the look, but can never achieve it on my own.

This is Darby and Bumbles (although I left Bumbles off of the card). The sketch is from Midnight Madness this week - shhh, I'm sponsoring their new challenge tomorrow *wink*).

I added Crystal Stickles to her hair and dots on her dress. The DP is a glitter stack from MME. I also added some Cameo Primas, Fairytale Primas, and Mini Roses. The awesome bow is white silk ribbon using the awesome Bow Easy.

CC Designs May Release

CC Designs had a new release on Monday night. I received my store order with plenty of time to get to play with one of the new stamps for the release. I have already posted it on the Stamp and Create.com Blog, but haven't had the chance to post it here yet.

So, if this is new to you, this is from a new line at CC designs called "Honey". This stamp is Honey Bikini...

Isn't she so gorgeous?! The sketch is from Sketch Saturday.

I used some new October Afternoon Fly a Kite DP, Primas, Star Head pins, and Tim Holtz Adage ticket.

Stamp and Create Product Spotlight - CC Designs

 
Happy Monday to you!! I hope your weather was better than mine this weekend! It was overcast with some rain on saturday. Then on Sunday I don't think it stopped raining. And today was overcast again with some drizzle!! Where is my Florida Sun?! This is supposed to be the "Sunshine State". Well, I guess we need the rain. Especially since my tree out front seems to think it's Autumn!! No joke! It has not leaves! It was green all winter then poof...all the leaves are gone and my kids are playing in a pile of leaves!! I think someone played a late April's fools joke on it and told it that it was Fall!!

Anyway, it's time for another Product Spotlight over at my store Stamp and Create. I just got these CC Design stamps instock so I had to feature them this week!! All CC Designs in stock are on sale this week for 25% off!! which is an AWESOME deal since they are already a low priced stamp!! And even better...it's cling mounted on black foam already...even more savings!!

Here is a card I made using the Sketch Saturday Challenge this week...

I have to say that this is what I looked like this morning!! ROFL!! Ok, I don't wear curlers in my hair, but I did have it up in a twist on my head to control my frizzy do!! My hair does NOT like humitity!

On saturday I posted a layout for the Scrap and Stamp challenge using "different" things provided by the sponsor. Well, one of the things they sent me was a coffee filter and this corregated paper. I knew I had to use this image! This is Kiki La Rue Coffee Kiki. However, I ripped the coffee filter so I couldn't use it. But I thought this corregated paper looks like the sleeves that Starbucks puts around the coffee so you don't burn your hand!

The paper is 7 Gypsies and SU Bravo Burgandy. The sentiment is a combination of 2 from Kraftin' Kimmie stamps. I only inked up the words I wanted and used my Stamp-a-majig for the placement. And the Prima is one from the Novelty Set. I was inspired by this card from the DT!! I just love the bright colors she used...too bright for my "latte day"!

I added some Heidi Swapp Circle Frame rhinestones to hightlight the sentiment and some Kaiser Craft pearls in the corners.
