A friend of mine is going through some really hard times right now. She called me to ask me to make her some cards. She wants to send a card to her friends to let them know how much she appreciates their help during this time.
I had a bunch of cards already made up so I only had to make a few more for her. Most of those have already been shared here except one that I will share later.
I wanted to be able to do something more for her than just make the cards. So, I made a card for her as well...with something special inside.

I mentioned earlier that I got some of the older High Hopes stamps along with the newest release and this is one of those stamps. This is Delia Angel. I just love this image...perfect to send to a friend. One of my friends came over today to play with my Twinkling H2Os (*waving at Terry*) so I colored this while she was here. I used the SCS Color Challenge CC207 for the inspiration (Summer Sun, Kiwi Kiss, Pumpkin Pie). I embossed the image in black onto SU Whisper White, then watercolored with H2Os.
I loved the paper I used in this card (My Mind's Eye Magnolia). It was still lying on my desk and I noticed that it has some orange, yellow, and green in it so I thought it would work for the color challenge. The card base is 5 1/4" square of Pumpkin Pie. I inked up the edges of the DP and image with Summer Sun. I found some primas that coordinated and a Basic Grey button (the orange flower really it's neon IRL).
I added stickles to the wings, the orange flower, and all around the mat and card base.
Here is the inside...
The sentiment Gentle Guide is also from High Hopes. In case it's not clear, it reads...
"Whenever life if stressful
And you need a gentle guide
Remember to take heart
There's an Angel by your side!"
The "Sending Hugs" sentiment is from PTI Friends til the End.
I punched the left side of the DP with my SU Eyelet Border punch. Then I sewed along the other 3 sides to create a pocket. Behind the pocket is another CD that I made here, here, and here...
I made this CD at the same time as the others. I am glad I have a few on hand. But again, this was stamped with Black Stazon directly onto the CD.
On the inside of the top of the card, I added the playlist...
I hope these songs will help lift her spirit during this hard time.
On a personal note...
Things have been very busy. I have a few card orders that I need to finish up. And my email has been acting up so I have spent way too much time with Bellsouth trying to get it fixed. But, so far, it's still acting up.
Also, we still haven't heard anything about my husband's job...so keep praying for us. We are hoping we will hear something next week.
I hope you have a wonderful weekend! Thanks for stopping by!
