Hello stamping friends!
I'm finally feeling much better. Man, this was a nasty cold!
So, have you found Pinterest.com yet? Oh my gosh! There are so many wonderful DIY ideas, home decorating ideas, cakes, recipes, scrapbook sketches...everything for us crafty folk!
I found this pin on turning photos into Canvas Wall Art (tutorial here). It looked easy enough so I thought I would give it a try.
This was created a few weeks ago (I haven't done much crafting this week since I've been sick).
The large prints are 14" x 16" and the smaller are 8" x 10". Since the larger ones were 16" on the sides, I couldn't add scrapbook paper as it shows in the tutorial since they are only 12" long. So I inked up the edges with Stampin' Up Basic Brown ink instead - it took awhile, but I love the "vintage" feel it gave the edges.
They were really easy to do and I love how they turned out.
There is a "paint brush" texture on it from the mod podge (not shown in the pictures) so it sort of looks like a painting.
Here's a picture taken from the kitchen across the hall...
I really love how they turned out. Why don't you give it a try?!
Happy stamping!
~Lacey
