Hello stamping friends!!
Wow! I can't believe it's Monday already!! Where does the weekend go?! It seems that every time we have a weekend that is supposed to be easy, something goes up and makes it crazy busy again?! Last weekend it was a family medical emergency that my husband had to go out of town and this weekend it was Soccer playoffs for Ryan's team! Ryan's team wasn't the best this year - they only won 2 games. However, all teams participated in the playoffs. So, Saturday morning, Ryan had a game at 9am. Of course, Ansley had a game at 9:45 which meant we had to split up again and I missed half of Ansley's game. Well, Ryan's team won so they had a 2nd game on Saturday at 2pm!! Wow! 3 games in one day for us!! Ryan's team ended up winning that game as well...so we had ANOTHER game on Sunday at 2pm!! Ryan was so tired that he couldn't play the 2nd half of the game on Sunday. Seriously, 3 games in one weekend for 6-7 year olds is a bit much!! In the finals we played the best team in the league (they beat us twice this season) so, as expected, they lost the finals. But I'm so proud of Ryan's team!!
Now we need to find out if Ansley's team has playoffs. Our couch said "no", but someone on the soccer committee told me we did - the firs weekend in December. So, I guess we'll see if we get called again. But otherwise, we are finally done with soccer!! At least for the season! Wednesday Ansley's team is having a party at a local restaurant. But other than that, we no longer have 4 nights a week of practice!! Can you tell I'm excited about that?! Oc rouse, another season will begin soon. We are thinking about T-Ball for Ryan and Softball for Ansley but we haven't decided yet. I'm not sure what's involved with girls softball. If it's a traveling team, we may not be able to handle that type of commitment.
Ok, so I have a double card post for you again with lots of pictures so I hope you are able to stick through to the end!!
First up, there is a new Weekly Candy at Stamp and Create...
My 40th Birthday is Wednesday! So, to celebrate my birthday,
the product spotlight at Stamp and Create is: Birthday Category!
All stamps in the Birthday Category are on sale 25% off this week.
Here is my card....
I used the adorable A Little Gift Tilda from the Magnolia Sweet Christmas Dreams Collection. Although it's from the Christmas Collection, it makes a great birthday image, too! Other products used are: Pink Wrinkle Ribbon, Bow Easy, Magnolia Mini Doily DooHickey, Pearl Brad, pearls, and Liquid Pearls.
This was supposed to be for the new Magical Monday Challenge today, but I goofed and totally forgot the "challenge" part of that challenge!! So I have another card for you below for that challenge.
I made this one an easel card...
Tilda was stamped in SU Basic Brown onto Watercolor paper, watercolored with Twinkling H2Os, cut out, and attached with dimensionals...
This card is also for the following challenges...
Stamp and Create: Easel or Center Step Card
Crafting when we can: Female Birthday
Dream Vally Challenge: Stitches
Crazy for Challenges: Triple Threat: 3 papers, 3 embellishments, and 3 dies or punches
Secret Crafter Saturday: Spots and Stripes
Sugar Creek Hollow: Vintage or Shabby Chic/Stripes and Spots
My next card uses the same image and is for the
Magical Monday Challenge: Use your Scraps!
We are sponsored this week by:
Here is my card...
Again, I used A Little Gift Tilda but made her a Christmas Card this time.
I used scraps of MME Lost & Found papers (see, I forgot to use 'scraps" on my first card so I couldn't use it for this challenge - what an idiot)!! LOL I took the scraps, trimmed them down to fit, then sewed them together for a "quilted" look. I also used Teardrop Lace die, WRS Christmas Circles sentiment, corner, pearls, Mulberry Rose, Pins, stickles and liquid pearls.
Again, Tilda was stamped in SU Basic Brown onto Watercolor paper, watercolored with Twinkling H2Os, cut out and attached with dimensionals...
Now it's your turn!! The Magical Monday Challenge runs through Nov 27th! Make sure the check out the rest of the DT creations over at the Challenge Blog.
This card is also for the following challenges:
Catered Crop: Recipe (I used: Christmas image, die cuts, circle punch, pearls, layers and layers
Christmas Inspiration: Bows (there's a tiny bow in the twine)
Magnolia Stamp Lovers: Christmas
Stamptacular Sunday: Punches
The Paper Players: Color: Riding hood red, Always Artichoke, and River Rock
Craft your days away: Embellishment Bingo/Gems, Flowers, and pins
Well, your mix-up on challenges was our treasure because this card is AMAZING! Love Tilda, love the MME papers and love your layout! Have a wonderful holiday season! Thanks for joining our challenge at Stamptacular Sunday! Hugs, Marcy
