Hello stamping friends!
I hope you had a lovely weekend. We had a great weekend. Friday night we went over a friend's house for dinner and games. I won!! ;-) Then on Saturday, my husband surprised me by buying a new car!! The van was starting to breakdown so it was time to trade it in. We got a new Ford Explorer :-)
Then on Sunday I went school clothes shopping (by myself - which meant it was a successful trip)! Then church Sunday afternoon.
Today the kids start a Soccer Skills Camp! For a few hours a day through Thursday, they will learn techniques that will help them with the upcoming soccer season.
Ok, so now it's time for the new Magical Monday Challenge.
This week's challenge is a color combo: Red and Teal
I love this color combo.
Remember, you must use a "Magical Character" (Mermaid, Fairy, Dragon, Angel, etc...) in order to be entered into the drawing for the Sponsor's Prize.
Speaking of Sponsors, this week we are sponsored by All That Scraps...
See the challenge post for sponsor details.
Now on to my card...
The other day I needed a card for Ansley's Horse Camp instructor so I decided to make a zig zag card using the Tutorial over at the High Hopes blog. That card didn't fit this week's challenge so you will see it for the next Magical Monday Challenge - however, I enjoyed making the zig zag card so much, I decided to make another one.
This little cutie is Ebony from Emerald Faeries. She's embossed in black, watercolored with Twinkling H2Os, then cut out. The papers are Hattie by My Mind's Eye. I also used the Pennant Die and Magical Mini Letter Seals Sentiment from Whimsy Stamps, Fairytale roses, and Butterfly die from CC Designs.
I added a #9 because this will be for a special little girl's 9th birthday soon.
Here's a few other angles...
Here is what it looks like when it's closed flat to fit into an envelope...
And a close up of this sweetie...
Now it's your turn! Let's see your take on this Magical Red and Teal challenge!! The challenge is open for 2 weeks.
This card is also for the following challenges:
Lollipop Crafts: Anything Goes
2 Sisters: Anything Goes
The Secret Crafter: Numbers (must have at least 1 number on your card)
Inspire Me Fridays: Anything Goes
Paper Cutz Challenge: Anything Goes
Stamp Something Challenge: Embellish it
Do you Stack Up?: Wings
Southern Girls Challenge: Birthday
Emerald Faeries: All things Nice (Girly)

Thanks for stopping by! Happy stamping!

Lacey, this is GORGEOUS. I have been "taking a break" this summer from my normal massive card making binges. I have not visited the HH blog in a while. I will have to check out the Zig Zag card. I love the glittered banner and number! Red and Teal must be the special girls favourite colours!
Love the new truck! What a fabulous surprise.

Hi Lacey! hope everything is getting better with you & your family and life. I guess when it rains it pours and I know how it is. I do love your card though and I am glad you have a chance to craft. I love that new image/stamp. Once I get my life straightened out I will have to shop at the store. Just wanted to let you know, 1) I can't get into my yahoo group 2) we are starting the second phase of construction 3) I have limited access to my crafts 4) I won't have access to a computer unless at work, so no email. If you are okay with me missing this next challenge and I will be back for the following month...I hope. thank you for your understanding. If I am becoming too much of a burden, please let me know. have a wonderful week! ttys!
