Hello stamping friends!!
I hope you had a lovely weekend! We had a nice one. I mentioned earlier that Luke is now home from the hospital/rehab so I signed up to make his family dinner. Friday night I brought dinner to them (Pizza Hut pizza at Luke's request). Unfortunately Luke has Thrush so we weren't able to see him. But we did get to see Magnus, Brandi, and Abram. We brought the box I made for Luke along with the last few cards that were received from the card drive, another check for the stamp fundraiser, and a gift for both Luke and Abram. My kids were excited to see Abram and his parents again!
Since Luke used to live across the street, when we got there Ryan saw our old house and said "I miss my old house, can we move back there?!" Sorry buddy, someone else lives there and we can't kick them out - besides, Mommy likes our new house better!! Although, I really do miss being across the street from Brandi! :-)
Anyway, we later spent the evening with our life group friends celebrating our friend Jessica's 34th birthday. Then on Saturday Ryan had one more TBall game. Since it was a HOT day, we all went to the pool for a little while followed by dinner at Outback Steakhouse YUM!!!
On Sunday we had our normal routine of Life Group in the morning and Church in the evening. In between, Ansley asked to have two of her friends from Life Group over for a playdate. Well, everything went well until...
This little guy decided to sting one of our guests (a 9 year old girl). As you can see, he's small - about the size of a quarter. Luckily he is a "Pine Scorpion" and is not poisonous!! But it did scare our friend. We called 911 and they send out the fire department. They verified that is was a Pine Scorpion and that it was not poisonous. Thank goodness!! Needless to say, it was a scary afternoon.
She was a little freaked out about being stung so after the firemen said she would be fine, I told her she now had a cool story to tell all of her friends about how she survived being stung by a scorpion!! I took this picture for her.
So now that I freaked you all out with my lovely story...
It's time for the new Product Spotlight at Stamp and Create!
Through Sunday night, all SWALK stamps will be on sale 25% off!
For my sample card, I created a card for my in-laws for their 50th Wedding Anniversary (I am hoping they won't see this since their party is not for a few more weeks)...
This is one of the newest designs called A Little Kiss. So sweet! I also used some of the new My Mind's Eye Stella & Rose Hattie paper and pearls.
The sketch is from Come and Get it Challenges this week.
Thanks for stopping by! Happy stamping and Shopping!
