Hello stamping friends!!
I'm tired...I have to admit it! It's been a long week. I worked practically all last weekend on the High Hopes release all the way through release time. Then I swear it took me 5 hours non-stop to go through the ABC Christmas Challenge entries to pick out my "top 5" since it was my week. Then it was pointed out that I forgot to post the winner of last week's WnW challenge (which I posted last night on the challenge blog), Anyway, I am so glad it's friday! I hope to get the orders out in the morning then be able to sit down and finally finish up my Christmas cards.
Many have been asking how I am feeling since my surgery. Honestly, with the exception of being really tired, I actually feel great! I only have minor pain...usually when I bend over. Other than that, I'm doing wonderful. I still try to take it easy physically so I make sure to sit and rest in between activities. I'm also not stressing about minor details...like the fact that the kids placed all of the Christmas ornaments towards the bottom of our Christmas tree (where they can reach) since I don't feel like climbing up on a step ladder to move more towards the top! See? It's not that important...and the kids are proud of their tree!!
On another note, I have been asked about my little gift bags that I created here. I will try to create a tutorial really soon!
And lastly, I went back over my posts and noticed that I never announced that we are moving!! My husband has been transferred (again). This time to Atlanta, Georgia. This is going to be the first time in my life that I will no longer be a "Floridian"!! But at least he still has a job, right?! In this economy, I am grateful that he has a job, even if we have to move to keep it! The good news is that it will be much closer to my mom and sister (hopefully within an hour), about an hour and a half from my Sister-in-law, and 4 hours (instead of 14 hours) from Scott's parents.
We are thinking it will be around March before we move - need to put the house on the market and look for a new one. So, we are heading to Atlanta for Christmas again this year. Mainly to look for houses, but also to spend Christmas with my mom and sister. The kids are so happy they will get to see their cousins again for Christmas!!
Therefore, the shipping for the store will be on hold from Dec 19 - Jan 3rd. Of course I will share more about that closer to my break.
Ok, now it's time for a new Wags 'n Whiskers Challenge!!
This week's challenge is going to be the last one of the year. We tried to make it an easy one, too...
Snowflakes!!
The challenge will be up until Jan 6th.
Here's my card...
I used the adorable Bear Hug which was designed after my daughter Ansley.
I used some Mitten Weather DP, some glitter string my a Christmas ribbon I bought last year (it was braided and I unbraided it), some Martha Stewart snowflakes punches, and charms.
The image was embossed in black and watercolored with Twinkling H2Os.
This is also for the following challenges:
~ ABC Christmas Challenge - Y Yuletide (using red and green)
~ Magical Monday Challenge - Wings
~ ABC Challenge - Ice and Snow (sponsored by Wags 'n Whiskers)
~ Flutter by Wednesday - Open (must use Angel, Fairy, or Butterfly)
~ Stamp and Create Challenge - Tis the Season
Thanks for stopping by! Happy Stamping!!
