It is time for me to start thinking about Valentine's Day cards. Although, I am still working on some birthday party invtiation orders which is taking up my "creative time". I enjoy making invitations for friends, but once the original design is done, the boreing part is mass producing it. Therefore, I need to take a "creative" break every once in awhile and do something new.
So, I couldn't resist this image for Amy's Friday Sketch #44...
And here's my card (although I just realized that I missed the "red" layer on the sketch! Maybe I can make another card with this sketch later this week)...
I used Kissy Face Frog from High Hopes Rubber Stamps for the image embossed in black and watercolored with Twinkling H2Os.
This card was very simple to make. Some DP I got at Michaels, sewing, nesties, some awesome crocheted lace ribbon, and some "brads". The brads are actually bead spacers that I got from JoAnns with rhinestones attached. I've seen so many European blogs using them with primas so I had to find some. I wanted some rhinestones to go with them, but my SU Rhinestone brads have posts that are too large for the spacers so I just glued some small Rhinestones on them instead. You will be seeing more of these to come.
The sentiment was printed on the computer and cut out with a nestability tag die. I added some fibers for some added texture.
I added some Crystal Effects to the frog's lips to make them puffy and glossy...
On the inside, I just added some DP cut with a Martha Stewart lace punch...
I love working with sketches because most of the work is done for you! Thanks, Amy!
And thank YOU for stopping by!

This is ADORABLE. I LOVE that froggie image - and FYI I am so jealous you have the MS lace punch - I've been trying to get it for MONTHS and it's ALWAYS sold out!! It adds just the perfect touch!
Thanks for playing along! :)

There may be without doubt that delight is essentially the most valuable point on this planet. Lacking it, existence could be empty and meaningless. pleasure is made up in contentment. A guy who's dissatisfied with his current issue is continually in distress.

Hello, I am very happy to read your blog. This is another fantastic blog post what I have read. There are so many tools available that it becomes difficult to know which will work. And how best to use them.
