My bible study is doing the Purpose Driven Life study. I've gone through it before when the book first came out. But most of our group had not read it yet, so we are going through it as a group.
I would love for YOU to join us as well. Over the next 40 days, I will share a little of the study. Don't worry, I will still have stamping projects to share as well. Just not today....I woke up with chest pains and after working at the preschool in the morning, they hadn't gone way. I went to an urgent care clinic (because I really didn't think it was a heart attack so I didn't go to the ER). I thought it was some major heart burn or gas, but it was near my left colar bone area and my left ear hurt, too.
Anyway, the doctor said it didn't look like I was having a heart attack, but he also didn't think it was heartburn. However, it was determined that I had a slow heartbeat (he wrote "bradycardia" on my EKG). Needless to say, I will be going to my primary care doctor this week for a full work up. In the mean time, I am feeling much better. My husband met me at the doctor office and took my son off my hands and picked my daughter up at school...so I came home and took a nap. And I actually created 2 new things tonight. I will take pictures tomorrow and post them.
Onto the study...
Chapter 1 is entitled "It all starts with God"....I think that's a good way to start!
The first sentance in the first chapter says "It's not about you."!! Wow! Did you ever think that you were born for a purpose?...for something greater than the mundane, everyday tasks?!
Day One - Thinking About my Purpose
Point to Ponder: It's not about me.
Verse to Remember: "Everything got started in him and finds it's purpose in him." Colossians 1:16b (Msg)
Question to Consider: In spite of all the advertising around me, how can I remind myself that life is really about living for God, not myself?
Please join me with this study.
Oh, there is some more High Hopes blog candy...go find the High Hopes Divas listed on the left to find the blog with the free stamps!!! Good luck!
