This weekend we went to a Pumpkin Patch to pick out our pumpkin and to take pictures of the kids in their costumes...

Ansley is dressing as a "Spanish Princess" and Ryan is "Mario" (of course)!

We also carved our pumpkin...

What a fun mess! I have tons of pictures of that as well, but you will have to wait for me to scrap them to see them all! :-)

For my project, I created a fun Halloween Banner!

My fellow Stamp and Create DT Jeanette has created a few of these and I was just dying to make one myself. It took me awhile, but I finally finished one!! 

Lots of striped papers along with some die cut circles and polka dot paper as well (for the Magical Monday Challenge theme).

The papers are Apothecary by Echo Park along with some Black Pom Pom Ribbon.

Wags 'n Whiskers Challenge: Black plus Ribbons or Pearls

Hello stamping friends!

What a busy week! Actually, what a busy month! I feel like I am always chasing my tail trying to catch up. But only one more weekend in October then this busy month is over. As of now, I don't have any travel plans or guest plans for November. And, I think, soccer should slow down as well. Ryan's last game is Nov 5th and Ansley's last game is Nov 12th. However, there is talk of a soccer "tournament" after the regular season! Man, I'm just about done with soccer! practices 4 nights a week is hard to keep up with. Luckily my husband usually handles soccer. But I have to make sure that everyone is fed and all Homework is done before practices. And then, weeks like this week when Scott's out of town for a few nights, we all have to go to soccer practice! 

Saturday we have two soccer games, a fall festival, then a community festival. Then on Sunday our church is putting on a fall festival. So it's going to be another busy weekend. On Monday, Ryan has a costume parade at school and Ansley has a boy/girl dance after school (which I am chaperoning). And, of course, Trick or Treating!! 

One day my laundry will get done...and folded and put away!! Right now, we just sort of live out of laundry baskets!! I don't ever seem to have the time to fold and put away the laundry before we need to wear the clothes again!! LOL

I used the adorable Furry Friends (which is the WnW Logo). The papers are Echo Park Apothecary plus some black pearls. The ribbon is from my stash from ages ago (maybe 3 years?) along with a double bow created with the Bow Easy.

The sentiment is from High Hopes that I've had for ages along with a CC Cutter Banner Tag Die.

The sketch is from Sketch and Stash this week (although I moved the location of the sentiment and bow to fit my card better).

I just LOVE vintage designs. I also love making them. But, I don't make vintage cards too often - not sure why?! Therefore, I had a blast making this card...

I used the new Glittering Tilda from Magnolia. The papers are the new My Mind's Eye Lost and Found Christmas. These papers were perfect for the Vintage challenge. I also used: Spruce die and Bloomy tag Doo Hickey Die from Magnolia, Resin Corner and With Keys embellishments from Melissa Frances, and Lavish Flourishes from Whimsy Stamps.

This card was inspired by two people: Camilla and Julie Stainton

I love how Camilla add all of those embellishments, the pearl dots around her magnolias, and the distressed/Vintage look. I also got the double white tree idea from this card.

I love how Julie layers her embellishments and creates little "clusters". The basic layout for my card was inspired by this card.

I also love how both of the ladies use paint on their cards. I didn't have any paint easily available so I decided to use some Liquid Applique instead. 

Tilda was stamped in Stampin' Up Basic Brown ink onto watercolor paper and watercolored with Twinkling H2Os using only 4 colors (two browns and two "skin" tones)...

I love the look of the image stamped in brown - it really helps with the "vintage" feel. 

I finished off the card with some stickles on the garland and randomly around the paper layers to give it a shimmer in real life.

Halloween stamps on sale at Stamp and Create!

Hello stamping friends!!

Well, I'm late with this post but I really needed some time to get caught up! My mom came into town on Thursday. The kids had off school on Friday so we went to the Museum of Science and History (MOSH) in Downtown Jacksonville. 

The kids had fun and I think we learned a few things. I will have to edit the photos though since most of them were kind of dark. 

But here's one of my mom, stepfather, and kids in front of the "Friendship Fountain" with one of the bridges in the background...

Then on Saturday, after Ryan's Soccer game, Scott and I drove down to Orlando for the Epcot Food and Wine Festival with 6 other couples. 

Here's a photo with some of us together (I think my hubby was taking the picture)...

If you didn't figure it out, I'm the one to the right in the black shirt.

No, I have no clue who those guys in the hats are!! It looks like we were standing in line at one of the countries and they were behind us. Love the fake moustache!!

Here's one with some of the ladies. Looks like the other 2 ladies wandered off somewhere and missed this shot...

Love those ladies...although none of them are stampers! Guess I'll still be friends with them anyway!! LOL

Ok...so we got home Sunday afternoon and my mom didn't leave until Monday morning. So my normal Sunday night work didn't get done - which is why I'm behind.

This measures 4.5" high, 1.5" deep, and 4" wide...

Angel Bear was embossed in black onto watercolor paper and watercolored with Twinkling H2Os, cut out, then attached with dimensionals...

My first Christmas Tilda!!

Hello stamping friends!! 

I have a busy weekend. My mom is in town for a quick visit. The kids had off school today so we went to the Museum of Science and History (MOSH) in downtown Jacksonville. It was a lot of fun and I think the kids learned a few new things. Then tomorrow, my hubby and I are heading down to Orlando for the Food and Wine Festival at Epcot. 

So I'm going to make this short...

My Magnolia order arrived in the store this week. As much as I would love to save all of the stamps for my customers, on occasion, I HAVE to have one for myself!! So today is my FIRST Christmas Tilda!! I'm sure there will be more of these in my future :-) However, it's almost time for a restock since many of the designs are selling quickly.

Before I get to that, I wanted to mention that there were a lot of new products added to the store today including the adorable La La Land Crafts!! You can check out the blog post here.

Happy Birthday, Ryan/High Hopes Challenge

Hello stamping friends!!

I hope your week is going well so far. We have a short week this week because the kids are off of school on Friday. My mom and stepfather are coming down from Atlanta on Thursday night. So we will get to spend the day with them. We're not sure what we are going to do yet, but we have a few options. Then on Saturday, Scott and I are heading down to Orlando for the Epcot Food and Wine Festival along with 6 other couples. This is our 3rd time going together. We have a great time each year. It's only for one day so we will be home on Sunday afternoon. 

Well today is a special day...my "baby" turns 7 today!! Oh my goodness! That makes me officially OLD! When did my baby turn 7?! I can remember chasing him around when he was only two...just seems like yesterday. Well, maybe it was yesterday...he hasn't calmed down much since he was two!! LOL

Today is also a new High Hopes Challenge: Ribbons, Lace, or Twine.

Remember, you MUST use a High Hopes image on your card to be entered into the drawing for 3 free High Hopes Stamps. 

I made Ryan a super-special birthday card using the High Hopes challenge theme...

Ryan just LOVES all of the High Hopes Dragons. He will often go through my stamps, pull out 10 dragons and ask me to stamp them for him so he can color them. He doesn't make anything with them, he just likes to color them.

So I pulled out Warm Wishes for the outside of his card. The papers are My Mind's Eye Out of the Blue. I also added some Basic Grey Buttons and embroidery floss to finish off the front of the card.  

Now the inside holds a special surprise...

I pulled out 3 more High Hopes Dragons: Gavin the Giving Dragon (Red), Dragon's Finger 4pc Set (Yellow - plus a balloon stamp), and Party Dragon (Green). I colored them all different colors like the different colored "Yoshi's" from Super Mario Brothers - Which is Ryan's favorite games of all times!

I also used the Pennant Banner Die from Whimsy Stamps. The sentiment was created with my Silhouette machine. 

The pop-up was created using this tutorial from Splitcoast Stampers. I altered the dimensions since my card is 5 1/2" square...

Here's a side view where you can sort of see the support tabs under that help the images pop-up...

My card for the Summer Sale is for a special person. I had posted a few times over the past few years about my neighbor Barbara who was battling Breast Cancer. Well, today is her last major surgery for her cancer treatment. It's the 2nd half of her reconstruction surgery.

At this point she has had a Trial Drug Chemo, Double Mastectomy, Radiation, Hysterectomy (she tested positive for the BRAC Gene), and the 1st part of her reconstruction which takes fat tissue from her stomach to reconstruct her breasts. Today's surgery is to balance things out so to speak.

It's been a long journey, and she's been such a strong fighter. So, to celebrate the end of her journey, I created this special card for her...

Wags 'n Whiskers Challenge: Fall Colors

Hello stamping friends!!

It's been a busy week for me so far. I have this post scheduled since Thursday night (when I would normally do this post) I am at the Duran Duran concert in St. Augustine, FL!! I hope my camera worked and that I will be able to post pictures for you. Although, we are seated towards the back so not sure how good the pictures will be!! By the time you read this post, I might have gotten up to get the kids to school but then crawled right back into bed for a few more hours!! LOL

Tomorrow is Ryan's birthday party. We are going to a place called Adventure Landing. The kids will get to ride go-carts, play mini-golf, play laser tag, and play lots of video games!! I'll try to post his birthday party invitations tomorrow.

I created a "center step card" (I was learned this card design as a Zig Zag Card, but have been since told it's called a Center Step Card).

ABC Christmas Challenge: U for Unused Stash

Hello stamping friends!

Well, it's a busy week for sure!! Every time we go out of town for a few days, it seems like it takes a full week to recover!! I busted my behind on Monday getting orders packaged up only to get to the post office to realize that Monday was a postal holiday!! Oh well - that put be ahead for yesterday. 

But there's so much to do!! Saturday is Ryan's birthday party. I still needed to get party favors, order a cake, and buy Ryan's birthday gift. The kids have early release today which means I won't get anything accomplished after noon. On thursday night I'm going to the Duran Duran concert in St. Augustine so the kids are sleeping over a friend's house. Friday afternoon I have a hair appointment and my sister and her family are coming in late at night to spend the weekend. 

On Saturday, Ansley has a soccer game at 8:30am at one park and Ryan has a 10:15am game at a different park! Then Ryan's birthday party is at 2:00!! Lord give me strength to make it through this week!!

Ok...enough chit chat...

Luke walks across the field!!

If you've been a follower of my blog for any time, you have probably heard about my little Buddy Luke. Luke used to live across the street from us and he and my son Ryan learned how to walk together when they were little ones. We played together almost every day for 4 years before we moved away.

On New Year's Eve, Luke had a 30 minute seizure caused from a rare form of Encephalitis and has not been the same since. The damage to his brain caused him to loose his speech and a lot of his mobility.

But God is good!! Luke is defeating the odds and is overcoming challenges when the doctors said he never would. 

On Sunday, Luke walked across the Jacksonville Jaguar's Football Field to participate in the coin toss.

Sassy Thank You's

Hello stamping friends!

We are out of town this weekend for another Tennessee Volunteer Football game. Hopefully it won't rain again this time!!

Anyway, I have a quick post for a quick card...

I had to make thank you cards for Ansley's birthday party last month. I went with a simple design using her new bedroom make-over (which was one of her birthday presents from us).

The only stamping is the retired Stampin' Up "Thank You" sentiment. 

Here are a few of them together. 

If you ever need a quick set of cards, this is my "go to" design. Just designer paper for the background, a strip of double-punched cardstock, a strip of different cardstock, some simple ric rac, and a sentiment. Easy peasy!!

Sweet Blossom Wee

Hello stamping friends!

I was so excited when I heard that Whimsy Stamps was going to start carrying Wee Stamps illustrated by Silvia Zet. These images are so adorable!! 

Today, 6 Wee Stamps have been released - and I have them in the store!!

High Hopes Challenge: Party Favor

Hello stamping friends!!

It's time for a new High Hopes Challenge!

This week's challenge is: Party Favor

Think: little gifts, candy, and lots of treats!!

Just remember, you MUST use a High Hopes Stamp to be entered into the challenge for the 3 Free High Hopes Stamps.

For my Party Favor, I created a fun Halloween Treat using the adorable Standing Witchy Poo. She's just too cute to be a bad witch!! LOL The treat box is a variation of this tutorial (I just didn't add a handle).

The papers are from Oct 31 from Fancy Pants along with some Black Pom Pom Ribbon. 

The bag measures 4" tall x 1 3/4" wide and holds quite a bit of candy.
