Wags 'n Whiskers Challenge and Pin Up Digi Release

Hello stamping friends!!

Wow! It's been a crazy week for me!! I honestly don't know where the week went!

Anyway, it's time for a new Wags 'n Whiskers Challenge. 

Today we are excited to finally release the Pin Ups in Digis! You can find them here.

The DT have used the digis in the challenge today. 

The new challenge is: Handmade

Make sure to add something handmade to your project. It could be handmade flowers, handmade pins, handmade crocheted flowers, etc...

One random participant will win a free Wags 'n Whiskers Rubber Stamp.

You don't have to use a Wags 'n Whiskers image, but if you do, you will be entered into a 2nd drawing for a free Wags 'n Whiskers Digi (including the new pin ups).

For my card, I used the sexy Sophia. I think she makes a great Christmas card, too! I think this card will go to a friend of mine who's mind is always in the gutter!! LOL

The papers are MME Fly a Kite (seems to be my favorite paper at the moment). I also used some Liliput Flowers, Cameo Roses, and mini roses.

For my "handmade" piece, I created a hat pin...

ABC Christmas Challenge: T

Hello stamping friends!!

I'm back today with the newest ABC Christmas Challenge.

We are now on T: Tiny 4

Make 4 Tiny Cards or 4 Tags

For my project, I decided to make 4 quick and easy tags...

I printed Bear Hug Digi by Wags 'n Whiskers onto Kraft card stock. I sprayed them with some Shimmerz Spritz, then added some layers of scrap DP. The striped paper is foil from Kaisercraft Class or '87. I added some black ric rac ribbon, a punched snowflake, and pearl brad. 

I lightly colored in the lips, cheeks, and eyes on the images with Copics...

It's hard to capture the shimmer, but you can see some of the heavier spots.

High Hopes Christmas Blog Hop and Release

Hello stamping friends!!

Well it is time!! Today is the anticipated High Hopes Christmas Blog Hop and Release!!

You should have arrived from the fabulous Heidi! If not, you might want to start at the beginning at the High Hopes Challenge Blog. 

There is candy along the Hop, but you won't know where. To be entered into the candy, you must leave a comment on the correct blog. So, you might want to leave a comment on all stops...just in case it's the candy blog!!

This release is a smaller release with 11 designs including 1 sentiment. A great way to get started on your Holiday cards!!

Since I'm the last on the hop, I wanted to create a special project using all of the snowmen illustrated by Laurie Furnell...

This is an 8 x 10 Shadowbox Frame using the new Christmas Joy Snowy, Homespun Hearts Snowy, Glowing Spirit Snowy, and Hope for Peace Snowy.

Christmas Joy Snowy comes with an arched sentiment, but I masked it off before stamping the image so that it went with the other snowmen.

The stamps were embossed in black and watercolored with Twinkling H2Os. Here's a view of the design outside of the picture frame (it's hard to photograph without getting a reflection on the glass)... 

They were each cut out and attached to the background. The sentiment was created on my Silhouette machine. The DP in the banners are from My Mind's Eye Fly a Kite and then die cut using the Whimsy Pennant Banner Dies.

I added some stickles to the edge of the "snow".

High Hopes Sneak Peek Day 2 - Dear Santa...

Hello stamping friends!! 

So, what did you think of the High Hopes Sneak Peeks yesterday?! We are back today with another sneak peek!! 

As a reminder, at 12:01am EST today (or I guess technically tomorrow morning), we will have a Blog Hop and release!! There is still a little time to help us spread the word of our release - and give you a chance to win some candy. Check out this post here. 

For my sneak peek card, I decided to combine it with a "mid-way" ABC Christmas challenge card! There is still 1 week left of the ABC Christmas Challenge: Shaped Card with Swirls, Stripes, or Spots (perfect for the new release images)...

This is the new "Santa's List" illustrated by Dustin Pike.

The Designer Paper is Kaisercraft Chapter One (not a Christmas pad, but perfect for this card). I also added some Red Rhinestones and punched glitter paper.

The tree card was created using my Silhouette. I cut 2 and attached the top of them together. Here's a view of the inside...

The sentiment was created on the computer..."Dear Santa, Define "Good"!"

Santa was embossed in black and watercolored with Twinkling H2Os...

High Hopes Christmas Release Sneak Peek Day 1

Here is my first sneak peek using "Baking Ginger" which will be available on Thursday...

I decided to create a "Cookie in a Jar" gift!! I think this image is perfect for these fun Holiday gifts!! I simply decorated the jar and added a tag.

The papers are My Mind's Eye Fly a Kite (not a Christmas pad, but I love the bright colors). I also used some lace for the lid along with some Red Rhinestones. 

 For the lid, I used a few nestabilities to create some fun layers...

Ginger was embossed in black and watercolored with Twinkling H2Os...

Magical "Christmas" Challenge & The Bow Easy Sale

Hello Stamping Friends!!

I hope you had a lovely weekend! We spent a lot of time with friends and had a wonderful weekend. Our church had a morning service outdoors and it was wonderful with the cooler/breezy Fall'ish weather. I say "fall'ish" since we really don't have a "Fall" season in Northern Florida. However, it is nice that it was in the upper 70's. The highs are in the mid-80's this week so not HOT, but not exactly "cool"! At least it's nice not to sweat while walking the 15 feet to the mailbox!! LOL

Wags 'n Whiskers Challenge: Lace

Hello stamping friends!!

It's been a crazy week!! My husband was out of town for 3 days - of which the kids had soccer practice. So after dealing with the store, homework, and dinner - I also had to take 2 kids to soccer practice every night then come home to get showers and bedtime routine done! I don't know how single mom's do it! Honestly, I'm pooped!! 

We also have a busy weekend planned. I will probably have to take a nap to keep up with it!! LOL

Ok, so now it's time for a new Wags 'n Whiskers Challenge!

(Hehe, every time I type the word Lace, it ends up being "Lacey", then I have to remove the "y" :-) Guess my fingers type faster than the brain thinks!! LOL

Here is my card...

Ansley was invited to a birthday party this weekend. So I thought it was time to pull out Ansley's Surprise again! This image is perfect for girls birthdays. But did you know it was designed as a Christmas stamp? It works for both occasions.

I used some My Mind's Eye Life of the Party paper. I just LOVE the colors in this pad!! I also used some pearls, pink wrinkle ribbon, and lace. 

The sketch is from Tuesday Morning Sketches this week.

The image was embossed in black, watercolored with Twinkling H2Os, then cut out and attached with dimensionals.

Stamp and Create sale and candy

Ansley's party and sleep-over went well this weekend. But I had a 3 day headache so I didn't get any crafting done for the Stamp and Create Product Spotlight.

Ansley's Birthday Bedroom Makeover

Hello stamping friends!

Today was Ansley's birthday! I can't believe my baby is 9 years old! We had a wonderful birthday party. I will show pictures later. But since all of our friends got to see Ansley's new room makeover, I can now share it here. 

I forgot to take a picture of her room before we started painting. We only had the builder's off-white paint and she had a rainbow bedspread. 

Here's the room while my husband had just started on the painting...

And her room now... 

I still need to change the ceiling fan blades over so the fan will be all white. The rainbow went with her old bed.

This is the wall to the left... 

The door to the left is her bedroom door (opened). The door to the right is her closet door.

Here is her "reading nook"... 

And her bed...

Two of the craft project I did her for room include the banner at the top and her name...

The name are white wooden letters that I got at Jo Ann's. I punched glitter cardstock with circle punches and attached them to the letters.

Here's the other corner of her room with her chest and dresser...

And the final wall of her room...

Ansley had some girlfriends stay overnight for a sleepover after her party...

Here they are in the upstair's "game room" watching a movie. Yes, there are two boys...The one on the right is my son Ryan and the shirtless one is his friend. His parents were out of town so I said I would watch him so that he could come to the party (otherwise he would have missed the party and Ryan would have been really upset).

And here are the girls trying to settle in for the night...

Ansley's room is big enough that we can fit a Queen size blowup mattress in her room! And, yes, I purchased a 2nd matching breadspread...just in case we need it...like for sleepovers!!

I hope you like Ansley's new room! She loves it...and so do I!

Ansley's Birthday Card - Mystic

Hello Stamping Friends!!

It's been a busy week catching up from the Holiday/Sale Weekend. Plus it's Ansley's Birthday on Saturday. She's having a "Minute to Win it" themed party. My husband is in charge of the games and I'm in charge of the food and goodie bags. Lots of stuff to do to get ready for having over 30 people in my house!!

I will be busy all day today grocery shopping and last minute planning. Her party is Saturday night. 

Since I didn't have any DT cards scheduled before Monday, I figure it's a good time to show you the card I made for Ansley for her birthday. I used the the colors and theme for her room. I will share pictures of her room make over as soon as our friends have seen the big reveal at her birthday party. 

But this will give a hit of the colors and theme...

The used the beautiful Mystic from Whimsy Stamps. I'm not sure the brand of the zebra paper - I bought it at Jo-Ann Fabrics and I cut it up before I thought to look at the manufacture.

I used the Pennant Banner Die from Whimsy along with some roses (the pink one is from my stash) and pearls. The fence was die cut from my Silhouette and the Glitter cardstock is from American Crafts.

High Hopes Challenge: Back to School

Hello Stamping Friends!!

Today is a busy day. After being gone all weekend, I have orders to fill and get to the post office. This weekend is my daughter's 9th Birthday! We're having a "Minute to Win it" Game Show Themed party. Do you watch that show? Ansley loves it - of course, it all competition and she's about competition - she likes to win! So my husband came up with the idea. I have no idea how it's going to work out. I'm letting him take change of this party (first time ever I let him in charge of the kids parties)! I'm just responsible for entertaining the adults, the food, the cake, and goodie bags...he's in charge of the games. We are also having a few of her girlfriends over a little earlier to go to the neighborhood pool and they will stay after the party for a sleepover. One of Ryan's buddies will be staying overnight as well since his parents will be out of town and it was the only way he could come to the party. 

Plus we need to finish Ansley's room make-over before the party. Needless to say, it will be a busy week! 

But now it's time for the new High Hopes Challenge.

Here's my card that I made for Ryan's 1st Grade Teacher...

Ryan LOVES the High Hopes Dragons. He loves when I stamp them out for him so he can color them. And when I need to make a card for a friend or family, he usually wants to use one of the dragons. So I pulled out Pogoin' Dragon out for his teacher.

The papers are Class of '87 from Kaisercraft. I also used the Pennant Die from Whimsy Stamps, Black Rhinestones, and Basic Grey Button.

 

I added a glitter chipboard #1 (since she's the first grade teacher).

Magical Monday & Stamp and Create Challenges

Hello Stamping friends!!

I hope you all are having a lovely weekend! It's long weekend for us in the States so we are out of town in Tennessee visiting family. We also went to the University of Tennessee football game on Saturday. It was the first time the kids got to go to a game. My husband was born and raised in TN so he's a huge Volunteer Fan (during good times and bad). I'm from South Florida so my team is technically University of Miami Hurricanes. But since I didn't go to the school, and their in a different division than UT, I can still be a UT fan with not much complication. Anyway, I will try to post pictures as soon as I can.

The picket fence and grass were created with my Silhouette Machine. The "4" was die cut using a cuttlebug die and some glitter cardstock. PS the 4 is because she's the 4th grade teacher.

For my project, I decided to alter a Composition Notebook for Ansley for church. She needs to bring  Composition Book to church each Sunday so I thought I was cover one using an image that was designed after her...

I used the sweet Say a Prayer from Wags 'n Whiskers Rubber Stamps. I also used some nestabilities, SU border punch, and Pennant Dies from Whimsy Stamps. Her name was created on the Silhouette machine.

The papers are Echo Park Splash 12x12 scrapbook kit.

Usually I don't like these types of challenges unless I can make a scrapbook page. But this challenge came at the right time for me. We're redecorating my daughter Ansley's room and she needed something to hang above her chest of drawers. Since the Wags 'n Whiskers Angels were designed based on Ansley, I thought it would be a good idea to create a wall hanging for her room...

I printed Bear Hugs Digital Stamp onto Watercolor Paper at 9" tall. I colored the image with Twinkling H2Os to match her new bedspread (a lot harder to do on the larger scale) and mounted it onto some awesome Glitter Cardstock from American Crafts (I get mine from my local A.C. Moore). I punched out some lime green circles (1/2", 1", and 1 1/4" Stampin' Up punches) and attached them with scor-tape.

When it was finished, I put it in a 12"x12" shadowbox frame... 

Here's a sneak peek of her new room design. We're not finished and we don't want our friends to see it until her birthday party on September 10th.
