I posted before about my sweet little friend Luke. Luke was Ryan's best friend and our neighbor across the street when we lived in Jacksonville. He moved across the street when he was only 8 months old and Ryan was only 12 months old. They played together almost every day until we moved a year and a half ago.
On New Year's Eve, Luke suffered a 30 minute seizure as a result of Spinal Meningitis.
He is now on a long journey of treatments and therapy to fight the swelling on his brain and to regain his movement and speech.
His wonderful mother Brandi has created a blog to document his journey towards healing as well as a way to update his progress to family and friends.

First, please pray for Luke, his mother Brandi, his father Magnus, his younger brother Abram, his doctor Dr. Salehi, as well as all of this other doctor's, nurses, therapists, and technicians. Please pray for movement on his left side, control of his movement on his right side, speech and total healing.
Second, please feel free to share this with anyone you know who is willing to pray for an adorable almost 6 year old boy!!
Third, I am collecting cards for Luke to send to him. I hope to be able to bring a smile to his face and to let him know that people are praying for him ALL OVER THE WORLD!!
For each card received, you will receive a special Wags 'n Whiskers digital stamp - you can not purchase this stamp (It is an edited version of Ansley's Surprise - yes, you can do this yourself if you own the digital version of Ansley's Surprise. But I wanted to give you something for sending a card to Luke).

Luke will be 6 years old next month (Feb 16th). He plays the violin, loves super heros, soccer, and Star Wars.
A "Get Well Card", Birthday Card, or a funny card would all be perfect - just please make it age appropriate for a 6 year old boy.

Also, when you sign your name to your card, please include where you are from so Luke knows how far the card travelled just for him!!

Oh my goodness Lacey I am so sorry to read Luke's story. I have tears flooding down my cheeks. I cannot believe how the family have coped with such a difficult situation. I am not particularly religious (although I do believe in God) but I found their faith amazing and will be following the updates from now on. I am definitely going to make a card for Luke. Hi Lacey and thank's for you kind comment on my blog! I stopped by Magical Monday and read about your little friend and believe me - my prayers are with him and his family! As a mother of two wonderful boys (4 and soon to be 3 years old) the health and weelbeing of children are very close to heart! Hi, Lacey. I made a card for Luke and will mail it on my way home from work tonight. I'll be praying for that little sweetheart and his family. These things can really pull at your heartstrings and I'm glad to do something, no matter how small, to brighten his day!
