Ansley's teacher's daughter is getting married this year. She has a Black and White Damask theme with a pop of bright pink and melon/peach for accent colors. So I wanted to make this card for Mrs. Scheff to give to her daugter. I just love this beautiful Willow. You know, I think she looks like she is praying! What a great way to start a marriage...before God.
I embossed Willow in Black then watercolored her with Twinkling H2Os. I used Pale Porcelain for the wedding dress...giving it just a light shadow. And you can't see in in the photo, but there is a very slight pink glow around her.
Here is a close up of Willow...
Did you know that Whiff of Joy is the Featured Gallery over at SCS this week? Make sure to check it out...some awesome work from the Design Team.
Also, did you know that the Design Team each has some blog candy from the new Women of Delight release?! You need to check out all of their blogs to find it (links in my sidebar)! Some have posted it right away, and others will be posting soon. My blog candy uses the image on this card and I will post it after this blog candy expires....so make sure to check back later this week!!
So, Ryan sat on the side during Ansley's swim lessons and refused to come it...kept saying his stomach hurt (he did throw up earlier so that could have been possible). However, since it was the first day in weeks with clear blue skies, we decided to head to our community pool after swim lessons (which are done at a public pool - because their lessons are better than the ones offered through our community). Ryan was MORE than willing to play in the pool...as long as it wasn't swim lessons. Actually, our community pool is pretty awesome. We have 2 community centers with different pools. The first pool has a kiddie pool/splash park with a water slide, a lagoon pool with a large water slide (you need to be able to swim to go on the large slides), and a lap pool. The second pool is a HUGE lagoon pool (there are at least 6 life guards at this pool because of the size) with 2 spiral water slides and a huge kiddie splash park with 3 slides and water spraying everywhere. Here is an arieal view of the 2nd pool...
The part of the lagoon pool that is next to the splash part is a "beach" or zero depth...meaning is gradually gets shallow just like a beach.
Long story to explain that Ryan spends hours "swimming" back and forth from side to side in 2 feet of water in the "beach" part of the pool. He actually swims with great form, but he stands up to take a breath instead of just lifting his head.
So we spent 3 hours at the pool after swimming lessons. Ansley swimming with her friend and going down one of the water slides...
and Ryan playing in the shallow end. Of course, we had to go back and forth because eventhough there are life guards, I can't just let my kids roam around without supervision.
We are going to miss this pool when we move!!! Although we will have a pool in our own back yard...it's not a water park with slides and fountains! Of course, we will still have fun.
For some reason, I ended up with a sunburn!! I put the same amount of sunblock on me that I did the kids. They are fine and I am totally burnt on my shoulders! Happens to me every year the first time I am out! Needless to say, I will be sitting under the cover during swimming lessons tomorrow! AND we will be coming home afterward instead of going back to the pool!! Maybe I can get some stamping done!!
Thanks for stopping by! Happy Stamping!
