As I mentioned earlier this week, I received the new Whiff of Joy Spring Kit in the mail. I have been dying to play with them. Unfortunately, my mid-week is always busy with little time to stamp. I seem to do most of my stamping on Mondays and Fridays when I have a day off and the hubby's at work.
Anyway, Whiff of Joy is holding a Guest Design Team Call right now. I absolutely adore their stamps so I would just LOVE an opportunity to be a guest designer.
The call requires that you use Katharina's sketch. Great! I Love sketch challenges!
I ended up making 2 cards because I couldn't decide which one I liked the best. They are both different color combos.
This is actually the 2nd card I made, because I wasn't happy with the final color of the first card.

I just love the Blue and Brown combo...it may be one of my favorites followed closely behind with Pink and Brown! Therefore, it also qualifies for the ABC Challenge with the letter "B" for Blue and Brown. Bev (Whiff of Joy designer) is the Guest Designer for the ABC Challenge this week.
This card uses Kneeling Willow embossed in black and watercolored with a combination of Twinkling H2Os and SU inks. I also used some SU markers to get into the tiny details. The paper is SU Parisian Breeze specialty designer cardstock. The sentiment is from Papertrey Ink.
I decorated the inside with the same papers and layout...
Here is my next card...which was actually made first...
This is actually 3 images from the Spring Kit: Willow sitting with floral wreath, Tree Stump, and one of the butterflies masked and embossed onto a SU Top Note die. I wanted a bright springy card, but I think the brown sort of toned it down which is why I wasn't sure about it. However, I do love the image and the pop of color with the turquoise. This was colored with H2Os.
These papers are SU Tango Tangerine for the card base and the designer paper is from My Mind's Eye Magnolia pack that I just got this week.
Again, the inside uses the same layout and papers...
I would really love the opportunity to be a guest designer. I am so impressed with the details of the Whiff of Joy stamps. They are so much fun to color and the images are just full of emotion.
Thanks for stopping by!
